Important Policies

1.Billing Policy:

Bills are raised once in a month.

Actual Meter reading is taken by SPL every month based on billing cycle of the consumer

All bills raised by SPL have to be paid by the consumer on or before the due date.

Once the consumer is disconnected, connection will only be provided at SPL’s discretion only after receipt of reconnection charges as applicable from time to time.

2.Disconnection Policy:

On non-payment of two consecutive bills there will be a temporary disconnection.

On non-payment of third bill there will be a permanent disconnection.

In case meter reading is not available for two consecutive cycles, there will be a temporary disconnection.

In case of non-availability of meter reading in third consecutive cycle, permanent disconnection will be carried out.

3.Collection and Reconnection Policy:

Customer has to pay the reconnection charges

Customer has to clear the outstanding payments and payment towards EMI, if any.

4.Cheque Dishonoured Procedure followed by SPL:

For every dishonour of cheque a penalty of Rs. 200 plus applicable taxes is charged for the Domestic Consumer In case of consecutive dishonour of cheques, notices are served on consumers under relevant legal sections.
