Do's and Don’ts
1. Dos
If any service or body repair is to be carried out for any troubleshooting, always refer supplier’s manual and take your vehicle to the authorized workshop only
Get the CNG cylinder checked every three (3) years from the date of last testing/ retesting of cylinder by government authorized CNG cylinder testing agencies only
For any emergency handling of CNG leakage, make yourself aware of the location and operation of cylinder valve, master shut off valve and burst disc in the CNG kit installed in your vehicle. You may take help from your mechanic and get familiar with these
Always “SWITCH OFF” your vehicle’s engine while filling fuel (CNG/ Petrol)
Always maintain some amount of petrol in petrol tank and operate your vehicle occasionally on petrol to ensure that the petrol system remains in good working condition
2. Don’ts
Do not change/ modify the configuration, settings or the components from CNG system
The CNG cylinder should not be repaired under any circumstances. In case of any problem, consult with authorized workshop only.
Do not adjust settings of CNG system on your own
Never install LPG or any other gas cylinder in place of CNG cylinder. It is illegal and unsafe
Avoid carrying inflammable material near the CNG cylinder
Do not fill any gas other than CNG
